Eero Aarnio Bubble Chair in Silver Leather

The Bubble Chair was designed by Eero Aarnio in 1968. This later Finnish-made example combines a transparent acrylic shell, circular steel rim and suspension chain with separate cushions upholstered in silver-coloured leather.

The clear shell is formed around the steel frame and suspended from above, leaving the chair visually light despite its generous scale. The open construction gives an uninterrupted view through the body and creates the enclosed yet airy character associated with the design.

Fitted back and seat cushions soften the interior while following the circular form of the shell. Eero Aarnio Originals labels and a maker’s mark remain visible, and the silver leather gives this example a particularly reflective, contemporary appearance.

The chair is structurally sound and functional, with minor surface scratches to the steel ring and frame. The silver leather upholstery is intact and clean, and the manufacturer labels remain present. Please review all images for details.
